MTB - DOWNHILL PUNTA OLIMPICA
This is an excellent place to have a downhill excursion by bicycle, since we will go up to the Punta Olímpica (4700 masl); then we will descend towards the Callejón de Huaylas (2650 masl), with about 2000 meters of descent. Where we admire the high mountain landscape with its perpetual snow and the valleys with potato and cereal crops. We descend at your own pace, discovering hidden places in the Buin Valley. Arriving by Carhuaz.

Day 1: Huaraz 3100 m- Punta Olimpica 4760 m – Huaraz m.
Pick up from the hotel at 06:30 am, we will leave in the direction of the Punta Olímpica Tunnel (approximately 2 hours by car). In this place we will receive safety instructions and protective equipment and the precautions that must be taken on this descent route. We will begin the descent by bicycle and we will take the same paved road. We will go down under the recommendations of our Guide who normally takes the lead, keeping a prudent distance. We descend slowly in the sharp curves with caution since there is heavy traffic on the road. The view of the imposing Huascarán and the Chopicalqui dominate the valley. The snowy Ulta in steeper is present. We make the payment formalities in
Huascarán National Park and continue towards Shilla with the vegetation that changes to fields of crops and daily life of the locals. We will end the day arriving at Carhuaz, where we will have lunch and return to the Hotel (approximately 1:00 p.m.).
