Honcopampa 3500 m – Akilpo Pass 5000 – Ishinca Refuge 4350 m – Honcopampa.

From the Honcopampa archeological center, after a waterfall, we begin the deep Akilpo ravine, the habitat of the largest quenuales reserve in Peru. we pass in the middle of these immense forests with trees of about 30 meters. In the direction of the lagoon Akilpo and 2 kilometers before we take a fork that leads us to the Akilpo de 5000m next to Urus this 5490 m well known by climbers. The views of the Akilpo 5700 m, Tocllaraju 6034m, Ishinca 5530, Ranrapalca 6180m accompany the descent. After navigate through a moraine, we take the Urus ascent path to reach the refuge Ishinca. We descend through the Ishinca valley for around 12km and then return to Honcopampa.
